1975 35hp carb

hi,
just changing head gasket on my 35hp, thought might as well do carb kit at same time as the plugs were rather sooted up, so question is.....

What is start up settings on the carb needle, and i guess screw in to weaken, out to rich.
 
All Chrysler Force are the same .In to the bottom.Then out 1 and 1/8 turn.Start IN the water.Turn in till it bucks or coughs.Then out 1/2 turn.J
