sparkplug reference # for 1981 Mariner 90 HP

My buddy bought it on an aquasport. He's going to order a manual, I guess he'll ahve to order a SELOC one. Can somebody give me the plug reference please?

Originally fitted with Champion L76V surface gap plugs (QL76V is the resistor version).

That will cross ref to a NGK BUHW, also a surface gap.

I would buy whichever is "cheaper" - there is no advantage to running an NGK (normal plug on a modern Merc) on this model unless the plug is cheaper than the Champion version.

There was no "gapped" plug recommended for this model.
