Does anybody know of a web site for vintage
electric trolling motors?
A friend wants to get info on his Pioneer
trolling motor. serial#P1601
Made in Middlebury In.

Don't know of a web site but there is a paragraph about the Pioneer trolling motor in Peter Hunn's third edition of The Old Outboard Book. His research indicates the company made metal fishing boats and the trolling motors may have been bought from Minn-Kota and relabeled as Pioneer as they look just like the basic Minn-Kota models. Marketed from 1963 thru 1970 or so but some of the early models may have been 50's models.
