Mercury equivalent of Mariner Magnum

Does Mercury have a special designation for their version of the Mariner Magnum series? Asked differently, is there a "Mercury Magnum"?

I think that the Mercurys are called XR's. I once knew what differenciated the Mags and XRs from the other 6 cylinder engines, but like everything else I forgot ...BF
