Mercury 1989 115hp 6 cyl. Choke and Idle problem

I have a 1989 Champion with a Merc. 115 6 cyl. The past few times I have been fishing, my motor has not stayed on after the first choking and starting. It starts with the choke on and revs, but when I take it out of choke to idle in neutral, it dies or does not stay on. I removed the cover and saw alot of gas in the engine/carb area. I know it's flooding because it will start after I let it sit for a while and then it runs great all day. I'm assuming it is a carburetor problem. Could it be the choke staying open, the gas, or need a carb/ fuel filter cleaning? Is this a problem that I could fix? Any answers or troubleshooting tips are REALLY appreciated. Thanks! I had it serviced about two years ago so maybe it's due?

If it's flooding and you're noticing raw gas in the engine area, I'd suspect you have a inlet needle that is not closing properly. Can you pump the fuel bulb and see if any gas flows from the carbs?
