2001 90hp engine Identification

I've recently a used boat with twin 90hp evinrudes. The motors represented to me as 2001 but, when I googled the model number It appears they are 1999's.

I didn't want to just trust what i got off of google. Can someone give me some details on the motors by model # and Serial #.
Also FICHT vs. E-tec info

Yes can confirm that they are 1999 models. EE are the date letters for 99
Ficht fuel injection, power tilt and trim and long shaft (20")

Google will find you some reading about OMC problems with Ficht fuel injection . It seems that the troubles where largely confined to larger engines than your 90 hps but lead to the development of the Ficht RAM system and later the E-tech by BRP
