I'm new to boating had the ears on the motor to run it before I launched it. I have a mercury 1150 I beleive its an '87.
After running the boat for a couple minutes, switched to 1 battery and shut the motor down. As I raised the engine up it felt like it lost power. I then switched it to 1+2 and started the motor back up. I was able to get the motor to the up position. However it won't lower anymore. I still hear the normal noise it generates when it lowers.
The boat hasn't been used in 2 weeks.
