1973 85HP Evinrude model 85393M WOT issue

HELP!!! So I bought this engine with a boat from a guy... Engine was "not guaranteed to run"... but it does run... engine gets fuel, and then some... starts up after some long cranking... Idles great, no sputtering or coughing... But at WOT it barely gets the bow of the boat up out of the water... Issue is the port side cyl's are not firing when they are installed, soaked... when I pull the plugs out they fire fine... the starboard side is fine, those plugs are nice and dry... All plugs gapped to .040 as per manual.... any thoughts out there? carbs are nice and clean... I have an entire ingnition set up on its way that I grabbed off Ebay so I can swap out some stuff if need be..

It seems that the port cylinders are not getting a strong enough spark. What's included in the "ignition set up" that you've ordered?

The items bought include the entire wiring harness from the red plug back, so the power pack, coils, rectifyer, timer base, stator, thermal switch.. etc..
