50 hp 2002 yamaha trouble

Went to work on the motor today after experiencing some trouble last week. we used the motor all week and it worked pretty well, except a few times when driving it back to the dock, it would start puffing smoke. changed the oil right before the week. four stroke motor. then when i checked the oil level today oil started coming out of the dipstick hole. i know the right amount of oil was put in, and i drained it and measured and it was right where it should have been. motor was not hot and was sitting level. any help would be much appreciated, dont have the money to take it in at this point.

is there any gas in the oil now? or water?

oil appears to be clean
