2000 15hp Johnson

I have a 2000 15 johnson . I want to try a prop to bring up the rpm at high speed . Does these motors have RPM Limiters so you cannt blow up the motor from over RPM s ? Thanks in advance .

I dont know the RPM doesnt sound very high . The motor was on a rubber boat. it has a 11 inch pitch. I now have it on a 15 ft ,which is a lot heavier boat.G3
