Lost title, ? year?

Recently inherited a boat with a Mariner 40 HP that looks good. Been in garage for 5-10 years and I want to get in shape. I will do it myself but always get a manual first. Wish I knew what year?
Can anyone tell me how to define motor year?

1986, Yamaha built (for Merc), "C" model Mariner, electric start, longshaft (20") version.

Originally came with an Auto-Blend "oil injection" system which is hopefully long gone (was a unit that hooked up between the gas tank and the motor).

So mix this at 50:1...
