1963' seaking 55hp

Hi, guys wondering if anyone could help me out. My 55hp seaking seems to start fine the first time, but if I run it for a while then shut it down it will run the battery down before it starts again, its happened a few times, and once I had to use a pull rope.( battery cable)? Thanks

Check for spark when it woun't start. Maybe you have a power pack or something geting ready to fail.
