2000 70hp not getting fuel

Have a 70 hp johnson 2000 model J70PLSSD. VRO/FUEL pump bad? A little lubricated starting fluid and it fires right up. Fuel filter is clean, new plugs, cards rebuilt last season.

Any suggestions would be great!

HELP!!

I would use the "kill switch" to disable the ignition, then disconnect the fuel line (coming from the VRO) at the fuel manifold that feeds the carbs and simply put the loose end in a glass jar.

Then crank the motor over for 10 or 15 seconds. If it's pumping fuel (as seen in the jar) have your carbs cleaned/rebuilt again - whatever caused them to need a rebuild last year has come back again...

Went to do what you suggested and at this time I realized I had a bad wire connection to the VRO when I wiggled the connector.

Fixed! All is well. Thanks for the help!
