I have an 17ft express with a DF60, and the oil level keeps rising. lately, looks milky. Any ideas?? Head Gasket maybe, or something simple, I hope. Steve

I would assume that water was getting into the oil if the oil is milky. It is also possible for gas to get into the oil by way of the vapor recovery system. See if the oil reeks of gas.

I have a 140 and am not sure about your engines details, but all 4 strokes have a needle and seat in a float chamber that dumps the vapor into the crankcase. If there is something wrong with the needle and seat, or the float, gas can go where only vapor is supposed to go.

If the oil is milky, or if water comes out when the drain plug is removed, water can get into the oil where the cooling water passes by the oil pan if a gasket has gone bad. A bad head gasket seems less likely but it is a possibility. A dealer should be able to test for the location of a water leak before he tears into the engine.
