I just put a new Lowrance HDS 10 and Structure Scan on the boat and noticed the volt meter fluctuating somewhat wildly when they are on and the engine is idling. A couple of times when coming out of the hole and hitting the trim control the volt meter went down to 0 and the motor lost power until I released the trim. I wonder if the new electronics were a contributing factor or is their a voltage output problem? I had been noticing the volt meter fluctuating before at idle but not as much as now.

check your stator, I had this problem afew months ago, was told by the dealer if your motor slows while trimming the motor start keeping an eye on the stator. because it is sterting to go.
