Trim problems

I have a yami 75 2 stroke, it was working fine a week ago.

It will trim down, but it will not trim up.

I can hear a relay clicking, but no moter.

I am adept at working on this engine but I have no exp with power trim.

can anybody help

Check all the wires to/from the relay and at the trim motor - something just may be a little corroded.

Undo them, clean them up with a bit of sandpaper and hook everything back up.

If that changes nothing, simply bypass the relay (jump it) - the relay could be toast...
 
I have a 200 yamaha if your wires are not corroded and you don't have a bad wire check fluid then check your up coil. You can get the same coils after market as the ones you get from yamaha.
 
change the down relay out with the up relay, and the up relay with the down relay, if it will now go up but not down it's the down relay thats bad.
 
I had a electrical shortage due to rain and lost my power to the handle control and the motor control switch. I replaced the down solenoid and the control switch at the motor but still not working. All I get is a clicking sound, I have cleaned all connections and still nothing. While waiting on control switch for the handle to come in is there's anything else I can try? 1993 Yamaha/130hp
