Chevy 283 RW coolant flow

Hi all,
I could use a general discription of the raw water flow thru several systems. I am ressurecting a 32' concorde with raw water cooled chevy 283's inboard. It had flagship log type manifolds that are being replaced with Barr log type but many of the cooling lines are missing. Also the flagship system sent all the water thru the logs twice in different channels, once before the engine and then after . I don't think I will be able to do that.

I tried to attach a PDF but kept getting error on "page". Will send via PM after posting this.

The PDF is a newer merc setup. There are two areas that you'll have to 'explore'; 1) the point where the raw water enters the block and 2) the water management approach used to feed the water to the manifolds.

Many use the t-stat housing as the entry point. Also, "poppet" balls in the t-stat housing outlets are also pretty common. Some of the newer setups I've seen use just a restriction.
