1984 35 HP Tohatsu Motor - Need Carb.

I am having trouble finding Parts for a 35HP 2-stroke Tohatsu motor. 1984 I believe.

Can someone tell me if a Carb from the M40C is interchangeable with the 35HP model? (M35B)

The 35 B went out of production in 1981...You would need to contact Tohatsu to see if the carb would work. Why would you put a couple of hundred dollars into a new carb for an engine that is 30 years old. The carb will cost more than the engine is worth.

I understand your thinking. Very Long story short, My Brother in law doesn't want to sell the motor unless it works. And the current carburetor has a broken component in it other wise we would just replace with a carb Kit. The motor is in tip top shape except for the carb. It is very clean and it ran great when the needle wasn't stuck. But as you know parts are hard to come by so he'll try and sell it.
