AD41P Loss of Power

Cruising at 2900 RPM's, starboard diesel suddenly lost power to 1700-1800RM's and will not turn-up above 1800RPM's. Engine starts, runs okay but not above 1800RPM. Clean fuel filters, no evidence of contamination in fuel. Engine manufactured during 1999.

Any suggestions, or solutions? Thank you.

Hello friends! I located the problem, if it's helpful.

Something partially plugged the fuel intake tube within the diesel fuel tank. The intake tube is welded in place and could not be removed from the tank. Pressure into the fuel line intake enabled full fuel flow to the fuel filters and engine. I must locate the source of the problem in the shop this winter. A foreign object or dirt must be in the tank?
