My tacho only reads between about 400-1000 rpm (even if the engine is clearly doing higher revs). Wiring seems OK. I'm wondering if there is something wrong with the sender/sensor on the alternator? Alternatively does the instrumnent need to be calibrated? Your help would be appreciated.
