1989 90 HP Johnson Flotebote

skol boat

We recently purchased a 1989 Harris FloteBote with a 90HP Johnson motor. While running it the low oil alarm sounded. I proceeded to pump oil into the engine and while doing this the engine slowly died like it was getting choked out. I tried restarting but no luck. We got towed in and I replaced the plugs thinking it was flooded. I did get it restarted briefly but then it died and would not start again. It seems like the engine is not getting any fuel. I called boat repair service and they thought that I pumped too much oil into the carburetor and said the carburetor should be drained of any excess oil. Not sure if this is a tough job to do. I did get an exploded view of the carburetor and it looks as though if I remove the plug at the bottom this will drain the oil out of the carburetor. Any opinions?
