94 175 spark problem

Hi im new to this forum. I have been checking all the posts and joereeves you really seem to know your **** so if i could pick tour brain for a bit you could save me a bunch of cash and fustration. Ok i have a 94 evinrude 175 it has been sitting for 8 months and yes 5 gallons of bad gas and 2.5 gallons of water after rebuilding carbs and getting good gas in it it ran but intermitent and weak spark after putting in a new power pack and yes it was bad now just have spark when you crank the motor mybe one revolution then nothing is it my stator.OH almost forgot before the power pack was replaced i went to start it an alarm went off after that thats when i noticed the spark does the oil pump have an alarm on it that would shut down the spark.And is their a test i could do to the stator with out taking it out besides the olhoms test Thanks

anyone please this is driving me crazy
