Hi, I have a boat with a diesel engine Volvo Penta MD2 with a hydraulic clutch. The problem is that when I switch from forward to reverse that the shaft slides about 8 to 10 mm forward and backward. In itself this is not a problem, but now I have a thrust bearing in it that the shaft is in place. In the flexible coupling I created space for this difference to occur. But I think in the end it is not quite good enough( if I don t do this I m putting of the engine from its rubbers) My question is, how is it that this happens and how much harm can this as I've solved this? Could it be that there are in the bin bearings that the propeller can t absorb? (Thrust bearings)

Hope hearing from you soon greetings Bob boot
