2003 225 lower unit removal

Any secrets to getting the lower unit off? I have removed it a # of times without difficulty to change the water pump. This year it won't budge! I have removed the 3 nuts on each side and the large one under the skeg.
 
IIRC, I had to hammer mine a bit when I had mine off earlier this year. I didn't have my rubber hammer at the time so I used a block of wood so as not to damage the lower unit.
