2004 2 HP outboard - has fuel filter?

I have a 2HP outboard, 2004. I ordered a fuel filter which was listed for my model (but not shown in the maintenance manual).

I pulled up the gas tank but it looks like the gas line goes right into the bottom of the tank, no filter to be seen.

Can someone confirm that there is a replaceable filter?

Hondadude, I just re-read your reply to me when I got the motor a few weeks a ago. The filter is "inside" the line going into the bottom of the tank? The filter I got is pretty thin, maybe I'll go ahead and pop that line off.

The filter is inside the nipple that the fuel line is connected to. Once you pull the fuel line off the tank, you should be able to pull it out of the tank.
