little help 1987 30 hp

Have 87 mercury 30hp. been stored prob last 10 years. got it out last year. did what i thought was proper maintanece. now can hook earmuffs up with hosepipe and run fine. as soon as i put it in the water under full throttle it boggs down. have checked coils with meter and seem to be fine. could anybody point me in right direction. Thanks

its almost always fuel related when they sit, carbs, fuel pump, old gas, tank vent. Bet its junk in the carbs. Running with a plugged jet means no oil to that cyl, best due a compression test to see if you hurt it. Check for spark on all cyl while your at it. You can pump the fuel bulb to see if it helps but I would clean the carbs first. JB

Yep, I would put money on the carbs. It'll run on the muffs, because there is no back pressure. Put it in the water and you have back pressure. Rebuild 'em and you should be good to go.
