1995 mercury 225 hp

I was running about half throttle and the motor died like you turned off the key. I am getting fire on the top two cyl but not the bottom four? Any sugestions would be great .....Thanks Jeff

That is an odd symptom, but definately in the ignition system.

I would have both the stator and trigger DVA tested at a shop - I suspect your problem lies in one of those.

However, you can not rule out (at this point) a faulty idle stablizer module or even some bad wiring - but the DVA test will quickly either confirm or rule out your major components....
