Merc parts vs CDI,Mallory..... 1995 60 hp

Have to replace both stator and switch box on 1995 3cyl 60 merc.Looks like previous owner replaced stator with CDI unit but did not replace switch box which was also bad.Can get better deal on CDi and better warranty 2yrs).But if Mercs better would go with them.Any thoughts???

You will always get mixed reviews.

Personally, I have found CDI/Rapier parts to be every bit as good (and sometimes superior - in particular their Prestolite style ignition parts) to OEM parts.

I have zero reservations about putting them on either motors I work on or even my own motors....
