Hi, I am a new member to this forum.
I am also a new Bayliner 3270 owner and have the Nissan SD33 90hp diesels. The other day one of the tachometers suddenly stopped working - went completely dead. I checked the bridge and that same engine tach was also dead. From all accounts it may be the tachometer sender that is the problem. I am not much of a mechanic but decided that I should be able to figure this problem out for myself. I was able to locate the tachometer driver but for the life of me could not locate the sender. Could anyone tell me where I might be able to locate this sender? Any help would be much appreciated.

Here is a pic of the pulse generator on the SD33.
That's it just above the raw water pump.
Cheers,
Mike

The tach sender has a grease nipple on it. the usual reason for failure is lack of greasing
