Hello, to whomever can help. I have a few questions regarding my 1976 Merc. 115... When checking the plugs cyl. 5 and 6 have water in them and are cold to the touch. On the other hand cyl's 1, 2, and 3 are hot to the touch with no water present. Also the lower unit has milky water in it.
1. Ive been told it could be a exhaust man. gasket or possibly head gasket?
2. What are some steps I should take to diagnose the problem?
3. Ive purchased a water pump repair kit but would like to check the lower unit in more detail (heard there are a few places that water can leak into). Where and how to check these places.
