replacement stator for 1994 40 hp mercury

Help: I need help with a replacement stator part number? The old stator is pt.no. 398-818535A17, The serial no. of the motor is 0G116946. 1994 4cyc. 2stroke. Maybe somebody has one? Also when I replace it, will the engine have to retimed? Also where do you get all this information on the inernet.

Have you had any luck with the new stator? I got a new one but it has 7 wires instead of 6 so I am confused.
