where to put the oil

Remove the lower screw in the front of the "bullet", then the small screw at the top (the vent). Motor upright, squeeze the oil in the bottom 'til it comes out the top. Put the top screw in to keep it from running out on you, then the bottom. And make sure both screws still have a sealing washer.

I use Wal Mart 85 W 115 oil that comes in a quart squeeze bottle.

I would use the Super Duty Mercury oil that is recommended my Mercury. I back flow a little oil so some of it runs out from the vent for a couple of seconds then I put the vent screw in and finish the final pump where I'm at. Finish with the drain/fill screw. Back flowing allows for any sediment that hasn't settled all the way down to be pushed out and the final portion of the last pump allows for a little loss when you're trying to get the drain/fill screw in!

Just me being a little "psycho" about it :)
