Seems to run well but misses and stumbles at wide open throttle. I just ordered a new plug and fuel fillter (it sat for over a year) to see if that helps. It looks like the fuel filter is under the gas tank from what I can see.

Does anyone know a part # for the stop key/lanyard? I only see the key itself not the coiled part.

Any problems running out of the water? I know it's air cooled but the lower unit got really hot when I ran it out of a can. Is that normal? I see a sticker that says don't touch but it was a lot cooler after running in a trash can.

thanks,
Bob

The filter is located inside the hose where it attaches to the bottom of the fuel tank.

Be sure to open the fuel tank vent.

When the motor starts to stumble, pull the choke out some and see if it picks up. If it does, the carburator probably needs cleaning.

If the choke does not change it, you may have a partial blockage in the fuel cutoff valve.
