Water from motor 1991 200 hp

I Might have a problem not sure. I have a 1991 merc 200hp Took it out for about 20 min. ran it pretty hard ( since it wass the frist time in water for me ) Came home put the ears on and flushed out motor. It was a chill night and could see steam when the water hit the ground. I was able to hold my hand under the water with out it burning my hand. If it is gettin hot Is it the water pump or the impeller? I ask this after reading a post on here. Any info is always appreatied Thank you. Will

"Hi,if you can hold yr hand under the water from the motor for about 30 secs and its just warm,thats totally normal.the motor casings and block could have warmed up coming back from the lake or wherever,as there was no water circulating to cool it.quite common.thats why car engines can get a lot hotter when you turn them off[enclosed cooling system]"
