"I have a 1983 Mariner 80HP Outboard controled by a Quicksilver Assembly. Forward accleration seems to be fine, however when I go to back off the throttle even just a little, it slows the boat so much that it almost puts me through the windshield. How can I get it to react more subtle. I have tried to see what might be the problem but I can't find anything wrong.
