"I have a 1983 Mariner 60hp outboard, trying
to rebuild after disassemby and repair 4 years
ago. I seem to be missing the mounting studs?
or bolts? for the carbs and need a size.
I didn't take it apart and the guy who did
cannot remember what they were. Anyone have
an idea on where to look or what size they are?
I ran search by description with zero results.
Any help appreciated.

Mike"

"Hi Mike, can probably scratch out a part number and diagram for ya but need to know what we are dealing with first.

Need to know if you have a Merc/Mariner or a Yami/Mariner.

So do you have the twin cylinder "product of Japan" model?"

"It is supposed to be a "Merc" Mariner, I never
heard of a "Yami". My Dad bought it new. It is
a twin cylinder; though under impression merc
didn't go to 3 cylinder till 80hp or higher.

"Yamaha built most of the Mari

"Yamaha built most of the Mariner line up into the early 1990's, but they were considered a Merc product.

If you have a twin cylinder then it is definately the Yamaha built model.

Merc itself, never built anything larger than a 40 horse in a twin in the last 40 or more years.

Check out this link (exactly). It will give you a diagram, plus all the parts numbers for the intake on these motors -
