i got this boat and have been

i got this boat and have been working on it for a while. i got it done and i think i bluw the top piston it still has some pressr. i havent done a comshion test on it yet. but i pulled the spark plug and there was ethere metal or carbon all over it. i took it to the lake it ruan good for a little while.it is a merc 185 85hp thunderbolt injection. and is it hard to rebuild is it some thing i could do my self. i have been trying to do everything my self.(for fun and cost) thanks

Do a compression check and let us know the results. I highly recommend you get a manual. A factory manual costs a lot more but is well worth the money.
