"Pair of 315HP Yanmar, one fuel tank, clean bottom, new Racor, cleaned Turbo's with Turbo Wash, No smoke @ the dock, with load props spinning @ 2100 the heavy black smoke starts, RPM's will not go over 2600. Startboard is perfect. Fuel is four mths old, treated. Any idea's?"

"I have the same problem with the same Yanmar's on a Carolina Classic 28. Ran it for 8 hours Sunday trying to clean it up, one motor @ 2400-2600 rpms (bad black smoke) & the good one @ 3100 rpms (no smoke just steam). If I figure it out I will post you.
Hope you find an easy solution as well.

"My Problem Solved: New fuel and changed the Yanmar & Racor Filters again.Also cleaned the Turbo sreen filter. She ran fine; 36kts @ 3900 rpm's.
Good luck, If this doesn't work check the Waste Gate Flapper on the Turbine to see if its stuck."
