"Is there a way to increase the HP on these 210 cummins 6BTA 's up to around 250 or so ? . What would it intail to do this, Boat is a little under powered!"

"The direct answer to your question is yes. I'm more familiar with the truck engines, but they are very similar. What it takes to get the horsepower increase depends on the fuel system you have. There are different types for manual and for electronic versions. I'm thinking you have manual system which can have a small hp increase from just an adjustment on the pump.
Go to the DTR (dieseltruckresourse.com)web site for more information on identifying your pump and adjusting it for more power. There are many other modifications you can do also, keeping in mind that they are for trucks, but may also apply to marine applications. Hope this helps."
