"Brand new Tohatsu 15hp 2-stro
"Brand new Tohatsu 15hp 2-stroke bought 1 month ago. Would start on first pull, and idle 10 seconds then stop as if it runs out of fuel. But heavy smell of fuel seem to indicate that it floods (spark plugs wet as well). After heavy pulling it would restart and die down immediately, but systematically runs for loner bursts until it eventually keeps on running - then it goes normally for the rest of the day, or at least until it is left off for longer than say 3 hours. Next morning, same problem. Once the initial starting difficulty is overcome, it idles smoothly and runs up well. Engine has +/- 4 hours on clock – can this be due to it being tight and could time ease the problem? I live in South-Africa, and temperatures around here runs up to 37°C, so it can not be a cold-starting problem. Using choke kills it instantly. Any ideas?"
