I have a 9.8hp Mercury outboard, year 1972, serial no. 3264682. I do have a manual, but have hard time interpret the instruction. There are only a few wires, but It does not make sense where they are connected. Could've been connected incorrectly by someone?
Where do the wires 1/ea from each breaker point goes?
There's a killswitch wire that goes to the coil (-) on one coil, a green wire from the strator plate goes to this same coil's (+), the other coil is left open with both (+) and (-) terminal. Are these terminals are for 1/ea. of the wire from the breaker points?
Please help me with some guidance/or comments.
