"Hi guys,,a few months ago my

"Hi guys,,a few months ago my trim gauge started to faulter,varying between +24 +6 and all the rest,,the actual leg is fine and trims up and down,allthough i have to hold in the red button you use for anything above +6 normally to move it,also now the display has gone alltogether,,cud it be the trim position sensor up the creek and has anybody changed one?? many thanks in advance"

I have changed some, It is not that difficult, You reach it behind the engine, on top of the transom, depending on what type of stearing you have, It can be little difficult to see, and reach the screw to loosen it, then be carefull when you lift it up. there are nice pics on internet on this part and where the screw is located."
 
hi there

recommend check the trim sender gear wheel located on top of the steering hood outside the boat, these usally break up, not had many senders play up on these, check the gear wheel 1st before replacing the sender. let me know how you get on
