"pulled the carbs off for a general cleaning and found the lower carb, idle adjust needle, jammed tight. Looks like, if I can get it out, its going to be damaged. Ive checked a couple of websites for a replacement and havnt had any luck. I hope the carb body is ok. Maybe somebody has a source for this part or maybe even a rebuildable core carb???"

If the needle is seized you will prob break it off trying to remove it what about cleaning the carb and checking the flow through the passages and if its ok i would just about put money on the adjustment being in the correct position

"Aluminum expands far greater than steel, so all you have to do it heat that area up good with a propane torch and it should back right out--unless some boob seized the threads as well.

Thanks for all your suggestions. I used Jeffs idea with the torch and still with alot of careful effort it came out. What a relief!!!
