"Just wanted to get some opinions of these things. The 50 I bought came with one on it.
I've had them on other motors and other boats, so I don't have an opinion of running "without one".
The only reason I ask, is this thing really throws the water in the back when you're running ( I have it on a 176 Jones Brothers Skiff). the motor that I replaced with the Honda had one, but did not throw water like this, I think it may have been a different brand.
Thoughts, ideas?
