Tohatsu m50d compression question 95 model

my friend has a

my friend has a tohatsu m50d 95 model outboard .

it runs ok but he recently did a compression test and got 94psi on all three cylinders .

isnt that a bit low and what factors could be involved to get a low reading ,
is it possible to get a low reading like this if he did it on a cold motor ?
or throttle position when cranking ?

The number itself isn't al

The number itself isn't all that important. What you are looking for is uniformity of reading across the cylinders. 94 is awfully low though and could be a sign of stuck rings on all cylinders or the world's crappiest gauge. I would try a different gauge.
