I have inherited an Aquasonic.

I have inherited an Aquasonic. I am trying to determing the actual age and horsepower rating for this motor. Can someone tell me where to find the model number and serial number information on this outboard motor?

"Model and serial numbers should be an a plate on the transom bracket. They should also be stamped on a core plug, Welch plug or freeze plug, which ever you prefer to call it, somewhere on the power head.

The model number is what is required to determine the year of manufacture and hp. In older motors the model and serial numbers may be combined into one number"
