Ive got an 78 or 79 Mercury 85...Ive got a few problems I found today. I put it in the water today and it will crank fine with the idle lever up but for some reason eveytime I let the lever down it cuts off. or everytime I tried to put it in gear it cuts off. But while its out of the water it will go in gear and run fine...and it will idle out of the water for about 30 seconds and then cut off! Any suggestions??
