I am looking to get a 2010 E-T

I am looking to get a 2010 E-TEC 150 for use in salt. i have a 150 ficht now and we have had nothing but problems with it. when we bought it the mechanic said with proper maintenace you should get 500 hrs. beffore trouble starts. long story short we have 330 hrs and it already needs to be rebuilt. my question is what is the expected life of a 2010 150 E-TEC. thanks

"it does,depend on how it is maintained...ride it hard and put up wet,..not gonna last...i dont believe in an 'hours of use' theory about how long any eng will last,unless it comes from the engineers who designed it...the 2 eng's u compare,r 2 diff animals.. there were lots of prob's with the 'ficht' engines... i have'nt heard anything bad about the late model engines,EXCEPT....the 225 and 225 HO'S are having plenty prob's."
