"Hello Brian,
I got the following guidelines from the Skipper of a 13 year old Seasport 26' (called the Morning Glory) based in Homer Alaska;
375 PSI or more is excellent
350 PSI is good
300 PSI is fair
250 PSI is poor
When I found evidence of high crankcase pressure on my AD41P at 1350 Hrs with reduced top-end power/RPM's and elevated fuel consumption, I had a compression and leakdown test performed on the engine and this is what the VP mechanic found:
Cyl. 1, 3, 5, 6 were all between 350-360 PSI
Cyl. 2 was 270 PSI (and failed leakdown test)
Cyl. 4 was 320 PSI (and failed leakdown test)
I don't know the root source of this compression rating scheme I showed you above, but it seems adequate as a rough diagnosis for problems based on my experience with this engine so far.
