I have a 1977 YSB8 engine and

I have a 1977 YSB8 engine and I cannot find a thermostat. Does this engine have one? Can someone point it out for me?
 
"on top of the cylinder body,

"on top of the cylinder body, under the water outlet.(2 hoses and 2 bolts) should open @ 42c."
